The actual figures for each unit sold in 2007  range from about $422/SF to about $1483/SF for a  3707 SF 4 bed/3 bath unit unit at 88 Beacon Street sold for $5.5m.

It is important to remember that average $ per SF is really just an index. Value varies greatly according to location, condition, configuration, location in building, parking, condo association factors, etc.
