Officially part of Chinatown, Boston's Leather District is considered by many residents to be its own unique neighborhood. With significant historic roots, this small eight block neighborhood was once home to many of Boston's tanneries. Many of the buildings in this neighborhood were once industrial buildings such as factories or warehouses. This gives Leather District condos a unique feel, with many of them being stylish residential lofts that have high ceilings and open layouts.
