Due to recent development and the creation of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, the Leather District has emerged as a distinct Boston neighborhood. The short distance to Boston's South Station, as well as the Financial District and Tufts Medical Center, makes the Leather District a very accessible neighborhood. Take a walk along the Greenway and head towards Chinatown Gate, or head towards the waterfront, with its great restaurants and other attractions. The Leather District is just a few blocks from Boston’s Theater District. Close to the Financial District.

The Leather District is Boston’s smallest neighborhood located in an eight square block area of Boston that is bounded by Midtown/Downtown, the Financial District, and Chinatown.
If you work in the Financial District, at Tufts Medical Center, or if you attend Tufts Medical School or Tufts Dental School, this is a very convenient location. Just seconds from I-93, the MassPike.
The Leather District’s main transit hub is South Station. From there, the Silver line provides access to, among other places, the Seaport, Logan Airport, the South End, and Roxbury. Also, commuter rail, Green Line B, and the Red Line.
