Match Day Boston 2024

Boston real estate for Medical residents, doctors, physicians, and other medical personel, BUSM. Real estate, homes, and condos near Boston medical centers, medical schools, and hospitals.

I was an incoming resident at Brigham and Women's. Joe did an excellent job helping me navigate an extremely difficult market with a very short timeline. As soon as I reached out, he was on the job, wasting no time to help me find a place that I would love and could afford in Boston. He was so accommodating with my schedule and worked hard to ensure solid line-ups of homes to visit, back-to-back in a single weekend. He has experience working with residents, new home owners, and out-of-towners alike. He will give his honest advice when you ask, but listens to your opinions on what you are looking for.

Mortgage programs for residents, doctors, and medical students

You will want to have a mortgage pre-approval at the ready if you are planning on financing your purchase, although this does not commit you to using that specific lender. This is so you will have the necessary credentials to present with your offer. It also just makes sure that you can have any potential problems cleared up beforehand.

You will want your lender to be someone who is skilled in the local market. as well as in physician loans. You will not want your hometown lender to do this. I have several recommended lenders.

There are some excellent mortgage programs ( doctor loans, or physician loans) for licensed medical residents, fellows, medical doctors (MD) and doctors of osteopathic medicine (DO), dentists (DDS/DMD), med students and other medical trainees and professionals.

These programs offer the ability to close on a home 60-90 days prior to starting your new job or residency, offer low or no down-payments, disregardand most, if not all of your student debt, as well as other advantages not available to the general public.
