Boston Redevelopment: Construction on The Boulevard Begins

The Boulevard will be a 12 story residential building with 36 luxury condominiums.Developer New Boston Ventures began construction of The Boulevard this year. It looks to complete the project at 100 Broad Street midway through 2017. The warehouse will be redesigned to serve multiple purposes:

Dennis Kanin, principal, New Boston Ventures, added, The building is breathtakingly designed. First-floor amenities are set within the historic Bulfinch warehouse, which will also house its lobby and entranceway, and an adjacent caf will be in the new structure.

Boston Redevelopment: Government Center Garage Project Buildings Approved

Government Center Garage project#BostonRedevelopment #BostonCondosTwo buildings have been approved to move forward as part of the project to redevelop the Government Center Garage. Approved on January 14, 2016, one of the buildings is a 486-unit, 480-foot tall residential building, and the other is a 1-million square foot, 528-foot tall office building.Sixty-fourunits in the residential building aredesignated as affordable, in keeping with Boston's Inclusionary Development Policy.The Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) reports that total project cost for the residential tower is $209,000,000. Plans for it include 1,300 square feet of ground floor retail space. The office tower project cost is $327,000,000.The BRA's notice of the project's acceptance points todramatic changes to the skyline:

"By the time the office tower is complete, the portion of the garage that extends over Congress Street will be demolished to introduce daylight to an area that is currently shaded year-round. Together, the new buildings will dramatically reshape the downtown skyline."

The site of the My Town diner, as well as the attached Williams Tavern, maybecome"The Residences at One Hundred A."On December 28, 2015, a letter of intent written by Niles Sutphin of Sutphin Associates architectural firm was part of thesubmission to theBoston Redevelopment Authority (BRA). The developer, Oranmore Enterprises LLC, wishes to build a 9-unit residential building that would include two roof decks and first floor retail.According to the proposal, there would be eight 2 bedroom condos ranging from 1,701-1,803 square feet, and one 4 bedroom condo with 3,585 square feet and private access to one of the roof decks.The proposal states that the building "will be clad in an attractive brick and black finish color aluminum curtain wall" and that its main entrance will be facing A Street.See South Boston real estate for sale.Do you havequestions about buying or selling Boston condos or homes?
